DESCRIPTION:Want to try some competitive bike races this summer? \nWant to WIN some races this summer?! \nJoin EPRD for our Youth Gritty Grind MTB Race Series! \n**************************************************************** \nRaces are for all youth 2 – 14 years old – from Strider bikes and up! \nRaces will take place Tuesdays (7/21\, 8/18\, 9/15) at 5:00pm on the MTB Skills course behind the Wulf Rec Center. \nRaces will be in a cyclocross format – timed\, plus one lap. \nRacers will earn points based on finishing position. \nPoints will accrue across the series and after 3rd and final race\, rider with the most points wins. \n1st\, 2nd\, and 3rd place winners for each category – spirit awards too\, wear your best outfit!! \nCategories – \n– Boys and Girls\n– Ages 2-5 (Striders only)\n– Ages 6-8\, 9-11\, 12-14 (Pedal bikes\, no restriction on size) \nRace Parameters – \n– 2-5 – one lap\n– 6-8 – 15 mins\, plus one lap\n– 9-11 – 25 mins\, plus one lap\n– 12-14 – 35 mins\, plus one lap \nCourses may include tarmac\, gravel\, hardpack\, loose soil and wooden features. \n**** Riders must wear helmets at all times while riding. **** \n**** Gloves\, eye protection and other protective equipment is highly recommended. **** \n**** Bikes should be mechanically sound with working brakes. **** \n**************************************************************** \n**** See link below for registration! \n**** You may register for each race individually\, or for the series at a discounted rate **** \n**** Registration fees increase $5 for day of registrations. SUMMARY:Valmont Short Track Series
DESCRIPTION:Fun low-key grassroots mountain bike races open to the public. Held every Wednesday evening in May and June. The course changes every week\, but is typically a 1-mile lap and most races are 4-5 laps\, or about 25 minutes. The races are broken into several categories to choose from. SUMMARY:Missouri Heights Road Race
DESCRIPTION:Course Description: \nWE HIGHLY RECOMMEND FRONT AND REAR LIGHT ON THE BIKE.  THIS IS A LONG RACE AND CAN FINISH AT DUSK MAKING IT HARD FOR CARS TO SEE BIKERS WITHOUT LIGHTS. \n  \n\nRiders will start near the Colorado Mountain College parking lots on Spring Valley Road (CR 114).\nRide north up Spring Valley Road to the intersection with Red Canyon Road (CR 115).\nTurn right and follow Red Canyon Road east.\nTurn right (south) onto Coulter Creek Road (CR 121).\nQuickly turn left onto eastbound Upper Cattle Creek (CR 113)\, which riders will follow east and continue on Upper Cattle Creek as it turns into CR 122.\nFollow Upper Cattle Creek as it turns southbound.\nTurn right on Mountain View Road\, then a quick left on Green Meadow Drive.\nTurn right onto Fender Lane (CR 102).\nFollow Fender lane until it intersects with Catherine Store Road (CR 100)\nTurn right and follow Catherine Store northbound\, then continue north at the intersection onto CR 113.\n\n  \nLong Course: \n\nTurn right onto westbound Upper Cattle Creek Road and complete a second loop of Upper Cattle Creek\, Green Meadow\, Fender\, and Catherine store.\nAt the completion of the second loop\, continue north on CR 113 until the hard left onto CR 115 (Red Canyon)\, then continue westbound on Red Canyon until the finish line just before the turn off to High Aspen Ranch.\n\n  \nShort Course: \n\nShort course riders will skip the second Fender/Catherine Store loop and proceed directly to the finishing area.
