DESCRIPTION:Want to try some competitive bike races this summer? \nWant to WIN some races this summer?! \nJoin EPRD for our Youth Gritty Grind MTB Race Series! \n**************************************************************** \nRaces are for all youth 2 – 14 years old – from Strider bikes and up! \nRaces will take place Tuesdays (7/21\, 8/18\, 9/15) at 5:00pm on the MTB Skills course behind the Wulf Rec Center. \nRaces will be in a cyclocross format – timed\, plus one lap. \nRacers will earn points based on finishing position. \nPoints will accrue across the series and after 3rd and final race\, rider with the most points wins. \n1st\, 2nd\, and 3rd place winners for each category – spirit awards too\, wear your best outfit!! \nCategories – \n– Boys and Girls\n– Ages 2-5 (Striders only)\n– Ages 6-8\, 9-11\, 12-14 (Pedal bikes\, no restriction on size) \nRace Parameters – \n– 2-5 – one lap\n– 6-8 – 15 mins\, plus one lap\n– 9-11 – 25 mins\, plus one lap\n– 12-14 – 35 mins\, plus one lap \nCourses may include tarmac\, gravel\, hardpack\, loose soil and wooden features. \n**** Riders must wear helmets at all times while riding. **** \n**** Gloves\, eye protection and other protective equipment is highly recommended. **** \n**** Bikes should be mechanically sound with working brakes. **** \n**************************************************************** \n**** See link below for registration! \n**** You may register for each race individually\, or for the series at a discounted rate **** \n**** Registration fees increase $5 for day of registrations. DESCRIPTION:Inspire Juniors Rec MTB Summer Camps\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThese are camps that are a sampler of the Inspire Juniors Recreational Mountain Bike Program. We will be riding Monday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.\, exploring the trails in the Castle Rock area and learning basic mountain biking skills. We also teach trail etiquette and usage. Skills to be covered include beginning and advanced shifting and braking techniques\, body positioning and balance\, and turn management. \nThere will be two sessions\, one in June and one in July. \nRiders need a working mountain bike with gears and a bicycle helmet. Closed-toe shoes are required. Riders are required to bring their own hydration (water bottle) and provide a snack. Gloves and bike shorts are recommended. Sunscreen is advised.
