DESCRIPTION:Want to try some competitive bike races this summer? \nWant to WIN some races this summer?! \nJoin EPRD for our Youth Gritty Grind MTB Race Series! \n**************************************************************** \nRaces are for all youth 2 – 14 years old – from Strider bikes and up! \nRaces will take place Tuesdays (7/21\, 8/18\, 9/15) at 5:00pm on the MTB Skills course behind the Wulf Rec Center. \nRaces will be in a cyclocross format – timed\, plus one lap. \nRacers will earn points based on finishing position. \nPoints will accrue across the series and after 3rd and final race\, rider with the most points wins. \n1st\, 2nd\, and 3rd place winners for each category – spirit awards too\, wear your best outfit!! \nCategories – \n– Boys and Girls\n– Ages 2-5 (Striders only)\n– Ages 6-8\, 9-11\, 12-14 (Pedal bikes\, no restriction on size) \nRace Parameters – \n– 2-5 – one lap\n– 6-8 – 15 mins\, plus one lap\n– 9-11 – 25 mins\, plus one lap\n– 12-14 – 35 mins\, plus one lap \nCourses may include tarmac\, gravel\, hardpack\, loose soil and wooden features. \n**** Riders must wear helmets at all times while riding. **** \n**** Gloves\, eye protection and other protective equipment is highly recommended. **** \n**** Bikes should be mechanically sound with working brakes. **** \n**************************************************************** \n**** See link below for registration! \n**** You may register for each race individually\, or for the series at a discounted rate **** \n**** Registration fees increase $5 for day of registrations. SUMMARY:Winter Park Classics - Point to Point
DESCRIPTION:Thirty-nine years ago\, Winter Park Resort’s Competition Center hosted the iconic\, inaugural mountain bike race for Colorado. The Winter Park Classics consists of the four races that capture our most popular routes from the classic courses that have been in use since the early days of the Winter Park Mountain Bike Series to reimagined classics\, there is something for everyone. \n\nThis local’s favorite has become one of our Classics. Riders start at the base of Winter Park Resort leading onto our local trails in the extensive Winter Park/Fraser Valley trail system. It concludes in the nearby town of Fraser. Awards will take place at Vicious Cycle Brewery in Fraser\, CO following the event.  Please note that this is different than in years past. \n\nFrom junior riders up to professional racers\, we have a category that suits everyone – even if it’s your first race! We pride ourselves on offering a welcoming\, fun race series for anyone who wants to get out and ride. For the professional rider\, we offer a competitive professional rider purse for the top three men and top three women in each category. The Winter Park race series has included such legends as John Tomac\, Ned Overend\, Tinker Juarez\, Juli Furtado\, and David Wiens as well as the next generation of legends: Madigan Munro (Trek Factory Racing)\, Riley Amos (Trek Factory Racing)\, and Bjorn Riley (Trek Future Racing).
