SUMMARY:Evergreen Youth Gritty Grind Series
DESCRIPTION:Want to try some competitive bike races this summer? \nWant to WIN some races this summer?! \nJoin EPRD for our Youth Gritty Grind MTB Race Series! \n**************************************************************** \nRaces are for all youth 2 – 14 years old – from Strider bikes and up! \nRaces will take place Tuesdays (7/21\, 8/18\, 9/15) at 5:00pm on the MTB Skills course behind the Wulf Rec Center. \nRaces will be in a cyclocross format – timed\, plus one lap. \nRacers will earn points based on finishing position. \nPoints will accrue across the series and after 3rd and final race\, rider with the most points wins. \n1st\, 2nd\, and 3rd place winners for each category – spirit awards too\, wear your best outfit!! \nCategories – \n– Boys and Girls\n– Ages 2-5 (Striders only)\n– Ages 6-8\, 9-11\, 12-14 (Pedal bikes\, no restriction on size) \nRace Parameters – \n– 2-5 – one lap\n– 6-8 – 15 mins\, plus one lap\n– 9-11 – 25 mins\, plus one lap\n– 12-14 – 35 mins\, plus one lap \nCourses may include tarmac\, gravel\, hardpack\, loose soil and wooden features. \n**** Riders must wear helmets at all times while riding. **** \n**** Gloves\, eye protection and other protective equipment is highly recommended. **** \n**** Bikes should be mechanically sound with working brakes. **** \n**************************************************************** \n**** See link below for registration! \n**** You may register for each race individually\, or for the series at a discounted rate **** \n**** Registration fees increase $5 for day of registrations. SUMMARY:Youth Learn to Ride - Arvada
DESCRIPTION:You Can Do It! \nHas your child been struggling to learn to ride a bike? Our effective gliding technique has most students riding within two hours! \nREGISTER HERE \nLesson Details \n\nBikes and helmets to borrow\, or bring your own. If you bring a bike\, depending on the size and style we may suggest you borrow one of ours for the class.\nFun\, safe and friendly environment\, with students of 5 years or older.\nTwo-hour lessons.\nSmall class size\, maximum of 8 students with at least two instructors.\nIf students would like to return for more practice\, return learners can join a second class for no additional fee. Email us afterwards to schedule that second class.\n\nLocation and Time \nClass is held at Arvada’s Bike Training Course located at Yarrow and 51st Ave. Class runs for two hours. \nWe suggest you park on the west side of the Costco lot (5195 Wadsworth Blvd) and walk west across Yarrow to Arvada’s Bike Training Course. If you bring a bike\, please be careful as there are many goathead weeds that can puncture tires. We promise the short trek to this fantastic facility is worth it! \n \nAdditional Details \nThe lesson will be held rain or shine\, so please be sure to dress for the weather. We suggest wearing comfortable\, active clothing with layers and close-toed shoes. Please bring your own water and sunscreen. Unfortunately\, there are no restrooms on site. \nDon’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions between now and class time. If a cancellation is made within 48 hours of the lesson\, we will reimburse half the cost and rescheduling will require an additional tuition payment.
