SUMMARY:Tour Of The Moon
DESCRIPTION:Tour of the Moon Ride Information\nTour of the Moon was made famous in the 1980s Coors Classic and later in the cycling movie American Flyers. Its legacy continues as one of the premier road cycling events in the western United States\, which showcases the Colorado National Monument and its towering monoliths\, sheer-walled red rock canyons\, and panoramic views. \n\nCourses\nTour of the Moon includes two courses\, a 41-mile option and a 64-mile option. \n\nAll cyclists will start and finish at the Grand Junction Convention Center in downtown Grand Junction. The ride will begin with a spectacular trek through the Colorado National Monument. After exiting the Monument\, riders may elect to tackle a metric century through the beautiful farm country and surrounding areas of Fruita\, or hang a right and wind their way back to downtown by way of quaint country roads and a jaunt through the Redlands. \nRegistration\nTour of the Moon Registration is capped at 2\,200 participants\, so be sure to sign up early. A portion of registration fees supports One Riverfront and Bicycle Colorado. The Ride Collective’s Tour of the Moon ride has been a proud Champion Event Member of Bicycle Colorado\, supporting advocacy work across Colorado for safer biking. \nIn addition to a great experience on your bike\, each participant will receive: \n\nCommemorative Cycling Jersey or Tech Tee\nEntry into the Colorado National Monument\nBike plate & bib\nAmply stocked aid stations with healthy and energizing refreshments\nPost-ride celebration to include lunch\, beer garden\, expo\, and entertainment\nA chance to win valuable prizes\n\nTour of The Moon Post-Ride Celebration\nStick around after the Tour of the Moon ride for the Harvest Moon Celebration\, complete with an expo\, lunch\, live entertainment\, and beer garden. Check out the latest cycling gear\, accessories\, and nutrition products. You’ll find great bargains on apparel\, equipment\, and more. Inform your friends and family that the expo is also open during the ride itself\, so while you are on the course\, they can enjoy the exhibits. \nLunch is open to all Tour of the Moon participants. The tag off your bib is your lunch ticket\, so please keep that intact until after lunch. \nExtra tickets to the post-ride meal will also be available for friends and family.  You may purchase them at the event or when you register online. \n\nRegister Here \nView Event Website

SUMMARY:Bighorn Road
DESCRIPTION:Bighorn Road will capture all of the best elements of classic fondo events\, with our usual adventurous twists: our 80-mile “Stone Sheep” course features 5\,000 feet of climbing along the Colorado and Eagle Rivers\, plus a 20-mile section of hardpacked dirt to keep things western. It’s the perfect long ride for a modern road bike\, covering cell-signal-free country with the security of aid stations and police traffic control. The shorter “Dall Sheep” course is an out and back of 31 miles\, with a few punchy climbs and 100% tarmac goodness. While short on distance\, this course is still huge on views and excellent\, twisting\, roads. \nHuge thanks to The Town of Gypsum for their generous support and helping us create these unique events. Thanks to their support\, we’re able to offer onsite camping\, complete with showers and bathrooms.
