SUMMARY:Glassier/Buckhorn MTB Race
DESCRIPTION:All racers start near Hook’s Spur Trailhead and take a left onto the Glassier Open Space trail. Riders will proceed to the Glassier Bike/Hike Trail (course marshals will open and close the trail gate) and climb to the top. Then: \nLong course (Men’s A\, Women’s A\, Men’s B):\nFrom the top of Glassier\, continue climbing up Vasten and follow the entire Vasten trail clockwise. Go left on Buckhorn Traverse\, descend Buckhorn\, then turn right on the Rio Grande Bike Path. Ride 500 meters on the path until it meets up with Hooks Spur Road\, merge onto Hooks Spur\, and continue to the start/finish area. Course distance: approx. 14 miles. \nShort Course (All other categories):\nAt the top of Glassier\, turn right onto Buckhorn Traverse. Riders will follow the Buckhorn Traverse until a right turn onto Lower Buckhorn\, which they will descend to the Rio Grande bike path. They will ride the Rio Grande for 500 meters until the path meets up with Hooks Spur Road\, at which point riders will take a slight left onto Hooks Spur and proceed to the start/finish area. Course distance: approx. 10 miles.

DESCRIPTION:Join us for Lucky Bikes Family Mountain Biking Day featuring youth mountain bike skills courses\, bike-themed games\, and beginner trail rides. We’ll have snacks\, refreshments\, and fun for all ages. Bring your friends and family for a great time in one of our beloved local parks. \nThis is a free event (Donations encouraged) hosted by Lucky Bikes at Ruby Hill Park — 1200 W Florida Ave\, Denver\, CO 80223 (entrance to bike park is on the opposite side of the park on Jewell Ave.)\n– One-hour beginner trail rides will leave at approximately 10:30 AM and 12:30 AM\n– Skills course and bike games will be available all day long (10 AM – 2 PM).\n– All experience levels and ages are welcome.\n– If you don’t have a bike\, don’t worry. You can use ours! The smallest bike we have is 20″.\n– Our skilled instructors and volunteers will provide bike and helmet fittings\, skills instruction\, and lead the rides.\n– Please R.S.V.P. so we can plan accordingly. Each family member should have their own ticket.

You get some challenging hills\, sweet flow\, and gorgeous views from Sandy Wash to Scraggy. \n\nTHE HUNDO is about 100 kilometers (62 miles) long\, with approximately 7\,386 feet of elevation gain.\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Hundito\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nA little shorter\, but totally sweet version of the Hundo. You get the good parts of Sandy Wash and the CT. Still challenging\, friends. \n\nTHE HUNDito is about 64 kilometers (37.6 miles) long\, with approximately 4\,387 feet of elevation gain.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nView Event Website
