SUMMARY:FoCo Fondo x Zwift Winter Indoor Training Series p/b caveworks
DESCRIPTION:Series Overview:\n• The FoCo Fondo x Zwift Winter Training Series runs January 1st through March 8th\, 2026.\n• 60-75 minute progressive interval workouts will run Tuesdays & Thursdays at 7 am\, 12 pm\, or 5:30 pm MT.\n• Sundays at 9 am MT: 120 min group ride.\n• Sunday group ride description: Take the first 20 minutes at 1.5-2.0 w/kg. Keep it together and warm up for the first 20 minutes\, don’t go over 2.0 w/kg. After 20 minutes\, we’ll take it up to less than or equal to 3w/kg\, but feel free to go for the sprints. Re-group after any segments back to the largest lead group. Let people get back in the group. After the first 60 minutes\, the ride is open. Feel free to stay together\, rotate\, try and break away or go for segments\, open riding from hour 1-2. \n1. Join our Zwift Club here: https://www.zwift.com/clubs/172ebea9-6042-4b4a-b5f9-a220646d81dc/home\n2. Fill out this waiver to participate: https://tinyurl.com/fondowaiver\n3. Get your Zwift setup dialed. Riders will need an active Zwift account to participate. Smart trainers are the best option for these workouts\, but if you have a wheel-on trainer\, you’ll just need a Bluetooth-enabled speed sensor. \nWe’re super excited to have caveworks partner with us on the 2026 series. This Fort Collins brand makes a purpose-built indoor “bike” designed for your smart trainer so you can keep your fancy outdoor bike where it belongs—outside. The caveworks Rivet also lets you either customize your build with new parts\, or you can repurpose old parts you have lying around—the choice is yours. They will be joining us on a few of the Sunday group rides\, a perfect way to nerd out with them and ask questions from the creators themselves. \nThe series will finish just in time for our first IN-PERSON FoCo Fondo Training Ride in March (yay!)

We’ll equip you with everything you need—training\, resources\, and support—so you can feel confident every mile of the way. Each year\, we gather people from across Colorado to meet at the Colorado State Capitol for our lobby day event. Together\, we can make a difference and make our voices heard. \nRegistration for Safe Streets Day is free and open to the public. It includes coffee\, tea\, and a light breakfast. The event will also include an introductory session with information on current legislation and how the process works. \n\nLocation: Colorado State Capitol – 200 East Colfax\, Denver\, Old Supreme Court Chambers on the second floor\nCheck-In: 7:45-8 am\nLeave time for parking and security\nParking: Lot on the east side of the Capitol off Grant Street; also metered parking on streets\nSecurity: South and north sides of the building\n\nRegister Here \nGet Ready For Safe Streets Day\nFind your legislator on our website Action Center. You can also look up how your legislator has voted on key bike- and pedestrian-friendly legislation in the past. We also encourage you to sign up for Action Alerts to stay up to date on advocacy opportunities to reach out to your elected officials throughout the year. Our Action Alerts make it easy to contact your legislators and let them know that you need their support. Fill out our registration form with your legislators so we can make sure to let them know you will be attending Safe Streets Day. \nWhy Join Us For Safe Streets Day?\nBicycle Colorado has been the voice of bicyclists at our State Capitol since 1992\, advocating for laws prioritizing the safety of all people who bike and walk. You can check out some of the laws that we championed over the years in Our Public Policy Work. \nYou can also view what Our Current Legislative Priorities are for the upcoming 2026 legislative session. We believe biking should be safe for everyone. Using our policy principles as our guide\, we identify issues impacting safe biking and walking and the legislative solutions to address these issues.

SUMMARY:Outlaw Gravel
DESCRIPTION:Outlaw Gravel is a new gravel cycling event based in Steamboat Springs on May 31. Designed for both experienced racers and riders new to competition\, the event introduces a timed-segment format that rewards strategy as much as strength. \nRiders will take on multiple professionally timed gravel segments across the South Valley\, connected by neutral sections where they can recover\, refuel\, and ride at their own pace. The course features rolling gravel\, punchy climbs\, open ranchland\, and wide mountain views that define the Steamboat riding experience. \nParticipants can race solo or as part of a team of 2 or 4\, making it as competitive or social as they want it to be. \nThe day starts and finishes at Olympian Hall\, where riders and spectators come together for a post-race celebration featuring live music\, food\, and cold drinks. The event is designed to be as welcoming for friends\, family\, and the local community as it is for racers. \nOutlaw Gravel is proud to support the Dirt to Snow – Mark Satkiewicz Legacy Fund\, with a portion of proceeds going toward local youth programs and community initiatives.

SUMMARY:Karen Hornbostel Memorial Time Trial Series
DESCRIPTION:Since 1991\, the KHMTT has been a spring rite of passage—Wednesday evenings at Cherry Creek State Park—where riders gather to test themselves against Colorado’s mercurial weather and a deceptively beautiful course. \nWe race with purpose. The KHMTT is a fundraiser supporting the Cancer Fitness Institute—founded in memory of Karen Hornbostel—and Bicycle Colorado. Karen Hornbostel was a four‑time masters national road champion who\, despite a 13‑year battle with metastatic breast cancer\, pioneered a groundbreaking fitness program for cancer patients. Her vision grew into what is today the Cancer Fitness Institute\, improving the quality of life for thousands of survivors. Her courage and leadership continue to inspire every ride. \nThe COBRAS and the KHMTT are proud to support these organizations. When you ride with us\, you’re not just chasing personal bests—you’re helping fund life‑changing programs and safer streets for cyclists across the state. \n\n\n2026 Dates: \nApril 8\, 15\, 22\, 29\nMay 6\, 13\, 20\nWeather Make Up Date: May 27 \nRegister Here \nView Event Website

SUMMARY:Lower River Road Time Trial
DESCRIPTION:Important Race Information \n\nOnline race entries are required for time trail races for ALL RACERS (including members and juniors). All racers must enter this race by 8:00 PM the night before the race.  Scroll down for race entry information.\nStart lists will be posted on this page by 10:00 PM the night before the race. Racers will be grouped by category and start times randomly assigned within each group. Special start time requests will not be granted – please don’t ask.\nRace numbers must be picked up at the race director’s table beginning at 5:00 PM. Please pick up your number at least 20 minutes prior to your start time to allow time to attach your number. You will keep your number for the entire season.\nDo not cut\, trim\, or fold your race numbers – it can disable the timing chip and makes it difficult for the finish line volunteers to pick out your number from the various colors and logos on a fast moving jersey.\nPlease arrive at the start queue at least 2 minutes prior to your start time.\nWe will not have a bike holder at the start line. All racers must start from a full stop with one foot on the ground.\nDrafting is not allowed in time trial races and will result in a time penalty.\nDo not congregate on the road near the finish line and do not ask the finish crew for your time.
