SUMMARY:Winter Park Classics - Race Rendezvous
DESCRIPTION:Thirty-nine years ago\, Winter Park Resort’s Competition Center hosted the iconic\, inaugural mountain bike race for Colorado. The Winter Park Classics consists of the four races that capture our most popular routes from the classic courses that have been in use since the early days of the Winter Park Mountain Bike Series to reimagined classics\, there is something for everyone. \nRace Rendezvous features a scenic\, challenging XC course starting at Cozen’s Ranch Museum and winding through the Idlewild trail system\, with flowing singletrack\, big climbs\, and fast descents showcasing Winter Park’s classic terrain. Awards will take place at Vicious Cycle Brewery in Fraser\, CO following the event. Please note that this is different than in years past. \nFrom junior riders up to professional racers\, we have a category that suits everyone – even if it’s your first race! We pride ourselves on offering a welcoming\, fun race series for anyone who wants to get out and ride. For the professional rider\, we offer a competitive professional rider purse for the top three men and top three women in each category. The Winter Park race series has included such legends as John Tomac\, Ned Overend\, Tinker Juarez\, Juli Furtado\, and David Wiens as well as the next generation of legends: Madigan Munro (Trek Factory Racing)\, Riley Amos (Trek Factory Racing)\, and Bjorn Riley (Trek Future Racing).

Back before gravel bikes were really a thing\, Kiefel and some friends set out on a 95-mile dirt-road adventure from Winter Park up into the high mountains on road bikes. Fast forward to 2025 and we’ve all become part of the exciting world of gravel. \nWinter Park\, Colorado has hundreds of miles of smooth and stunning gravel roads featuring beautiful wildflowers\, Aspen groves and babbling brooks. \nThe short course packs a perfect punch — 25 miles of rolling terrain\, flowing gravel\, and wide-open mountain views before looping back into town. Fast\, fun\, and scenic\, it’s the ideal mix of challenge and reward. \nLooking for more? The long course turns things up a notch — more miles\, more climbing\, and even bigger views. You’ll top out at 10\,500 feet after a 12-mile\, sustained climb that will test your legs and fill your lungs with that high-country air. It’s tough\, wild\, and absolutely unforgettable. \nTwo courses. One epic ride. 25 or 67 miles of pure Colorado challenge — climbs\, views\, and grit at 10\,500 feet. DESCRIPTION:The Finale to the season! This is the race that started it all over 39 years ago\, a true Colorado Classic! The course starts in the Fraser Valley and takes various trails to the finish at the base of Winter Park Resort. It stretches 25 miles and climbs over 4\,000 feet.
