Join EPRD for our Youth Gritty Grind MTB Race Series!

Races are for all youth 2 – 14 years old – from Strider bikes and up!

Races will take place Tuesdays (7/21, 8/18, 9/15) at 5:00pm on the MTB Skills course behind the Wulf Rec Center.

Races will be in a cyclocross format – timed, plus one lap.

Racers will earn points based on finishing position.

Points will accrue across the series and after 3rd and final race, rider with the most points wins.

1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners for each category – spirit awards too, wear your best outfit!!

Categories –

– Boys and Girls
– Ages 2-5 (Striders only)
– Ages 6-8, 9-11, 12-14 (Pedal bikes, no restriction on size)

Race Parameters –

– 2-5 – one lap
– 6-8 – 15 mins, plus one lap
– 9-11 – 25 mins, plus one lap
– 12-14 – 35 mins, plus one lap

Courses may include tarmac, gravel, hardpack, loose soil and wooden features.

**** Riders must wear helmets at all times while riding. ****

**** Gloves, eye protection and other protective equipment is highly recommended. ****

**** Bikes should be mechanically sound with working brakes. ****
