E-bikes have become a common sight in Colorado, with more people than ever reaping the personal, social, and environmental benefits of getting around by bicycle. E-bike adoption did not happen overnight, and it has taken the efforts of legislators, government agencies, and advocates like Bicycle Colorado.
Governor Polis signed HB25-1197, which promotes the safe adoption of e-bikes by more clearly defining what is and is not an e-bike. The legislation also took steps to ensure e-bike battery safety.
